The selector is designed to guide you between two Tensitron tension meter families based primarily on the shape and type of material you need to measure.
For Wide, Flat Materials
WX meters are designed for measuring tension in wider, flat materials where tension is carried across the width of the material.
Fabric, paper, film, plastic sheet, metal foil, nonwovens, conveyor belts, and similar web materials.
For Wire, Yarn & Narrow Materials
TX meters are designed for narrower materials that run as individual strands, wires, filaments, or narrow bands.
Wire, yarn, thread, fiber optics, monofilament, tape, narrow fabrics, and similar strand materials.
